I’ve been in business for about a decade without business cards, don’t you think it is about time I made some? So here they come.
VistaPrint says that they’ll look like this, but they haven’t even printed yet. Wha-? How? VistaPrint – It’s like looking into the future.
VistaPrint’s vision of my vision.
HAWORTH
Design/Programming (Partnered with Brandon Gohsman)
Reagan Marketing + Design wanted their client to be able to hand out a CD at a furniture show without it containing just a bunch of folders; we built an interface to go with it.
A set of design parameters, some sketches, and my job was to take it to the next level.
This is the level of design that I enjoy creating the most: clean and light.
OUT OF THEIR MINDS DESIGN
Design/Programming
My old site checked the time of day and gave an appropriate theme to match, be it night, day, or dawn/dusk. All of the clouds slowly blow from left to right, and those along the bottom are interactive, producing small puffs on rollover. The main viewing window arose from the clouds on the first click.
EDGE ENTERPRISES
Design/Programming/Illustration/Writing
For over 11 years, I worked on Flash-based interactive presentations for challenged junior high and high school students to aid in their writing. My projects were, at first, simply designing navigational elements/ UX, but over time I became more involved. I designed and implemented a program that would populate the screen with UI elements, move forward based on soundclips imported into the projector, looking for the next soundclip before moving on to the next “row” of subject matter. On the last row, it went to the next lesson. I also built a quizzing system that handled multiple-choice, identifying individual words and labeling them as subject/verb/etc. I wrote a story to go with the latest presentations, to get the students more interested; a malfunctioning onboard AI requires strict adherence to proper English before a written distress call will be sent. We needed some pictures to go along with our story about a stranded space cargo-ship pilot. This image is from a pivotal moment in the plot, wherein your ship is damaged.
