TOP: “Make all Soul Trials Assets.” The previously designed Trials and Season Trials icons were based on a rune shown above the entrances to those trials – this solution for “Soul” or “solo” trial icon is sand in the overall hourglass shape… resembling a Roman numeral one, (simultaneously driving home both “timed” and “solo”) but also “I” as a word.
BOTTOM: Original design attempted to use one image to fit too many disparate situations. This hurt legibility, and yet also the subject matter of the image was unclear. (Continued…)


With a solution in hand – I was given the go-ahead to produce assets for an additional two areas of the Pick-Up Group Finder: Seasonal Trials, and Mutated Expeditions.
I was able to re-design aspects of the screen as a whole as well, shoring the content up to AGS design standards – making text more legible, and the image more identifiable. (See “before” and “after.”)

Icons based off of ancient exotic architecture, charms for fishing, and a one-off icon for the HUD.

Store items for spring, (Springtide Bloom) winter (Winter Convergence) and fall (Nightveil Hallow.)
