Wrapping Up January, and the Dialogue of January
The final pictures of January 2012, and a mess of stuff that was said during that month…
Dialogue, January 4th
Mommy:“How’d those new shoes work out today, buddy?”
Ian:“I like them and EVERYONE AT SCHOOL…”
(Brief pause here made us think he was going to say “loved them!” instead he finished)
Ian:“..got to tie them.”
Dialogue, January 6th
Nina:“Mommy’s shoes!”
Nina:“I want to wear!”
Nina:“More waffles!”
(All of the above said in quick succession, but we tracked with her as she changed topics. That’s how clearly she was speaking by that date.)
Dialogue, January 7th
Daddy: “Wonder what that worm did with the puppet? Worms do like puppets.”
Ian: “DO they?”
Daddy: “No. They like dirt.”Nina: “Is it ready? Almost!”
Dialogue, January 8th
Nina:“Mommy bike! Bike!”
Mommy, using her “sorry, we can’t” tone:“What? Oh honey, did you want to go outside?”
Nina, using her “oh yes we can!” tone:“YAAAY! I Do! I Doooo!!”
Dialogue, January 13th
Daddy:“So what do you want for your birthday, kiddo?”
Ian:“I just want what everybody thinks I should have.”
Daddy:“Wow! That was profound!”
Mommy:“That was very sweet, honey.”
Ian:“I hope they get boy toys.”
Dialogue, January 16th
Daddy, explaining the various types of football: “And then there’s college football, which is played by…”
Ian, interrupting: “Boba Fett?”Daddy:“You want raisins?”
Nina, nodding:“ENDABOAL!”
Daddy:“Raisins, yes? Alright here ya…”
Nina:“DABOAL!”
Daddy, about to dump them on her plate…
Nina, shakes head no, gestures to stop, points to drawer:“DABOAL!”
Daddy:“Oh! You want them in a bowl?”
Nina nods and smiles.
Daddy:“You are the cutest thing on the planet.”Just of note… Ian cleaned himself after going potty, while singing the alphabet. This is amusing because we had him singing the alphabet during hand-washing so that he spent time scrubbing… this was not meant to be applied to other parts of his body.
Daddy made sugar cookies. They were alright. Frankly I might just make chocolate chip cookies without the chips next time I want sugar cookies.
January 31st, and the kids are takin’ the dogs for a walk. See this image larger.
Didn’t know we had dogs, did you? See this image larger.
*Whoa, that IS a good “play dead!”* Actually this sort of reminds me of a Coppertone ad, for some reason.
Hey, nobody brought along a baggie! See this image larger.
