I’m writing this on Thursday, November 26th at 12:07am… I’ll tell you where we’re at in the present before we travel back a week or two. Currently the entire family is getting over nasty colds. In fact, we were supposed to meet up with Grampa Dave and Grandma Marcia this weekend, but everybody decided it would be best if we all stayed away from each other, given that we’re all so sick! Hope we all feel better soon, and looking forward to seeing you both when we can.
So that’s why this is titled as such, because we had a sort of preliminary T-Day a few weeks ago…. and we do have a lot of people to thank! Grampa Ray, Grandma Barb, Aunt Melanie, Uncle Ben and Cousins Connor and Kaylee all made the trip to come and see us at our humble abode, although you won’t be able to tell, because we only took pictures of the three kids. I’m kidding. Kinda. 😉
The first to arrive were Grandma Barb and Grampa Ray, on November 13th… they took us out for dinner, and Ian showed everybody that the only thing he loves more than ribs, is big piece of cake for dessert! See this image larger.
Anybody remember that movie from the 70’s called “Meteor?” (I’m pretty sure Ian’s eating it in this picture.) See this image larger.

When we last left our hero, he was waiting patiently… *seriously, people, I have a world to save, here.* See this image larger.
What is it that feels “Wizard of Oz” about this picture? And so, the Jester, in search of a laugh, the kitten in search of a warm place, and the miniature super hero in search of something sweet, headed out down the grey cement road. See this image larger.
It got cold quick. Grampa Dave and Grandma Marcia kindly stuck with us through our whole neighborhood, as we quietly shuffled from door to door. See this image larger.
At this point I attempted to remind Ian of Kenny Rogers’ long-standing “Gambler” advice, however he ignored me and counted his money (candy) while sittin’ at the table. (wagon) See this image larger.
Perhaps it will please you to know that I’ve eaten an awful lot of that candy since this image was taken. Just trying to save him from too much sugar mind you. 😉 See this image larger.
And that was that! Thanks again to Grampa Dave and Grandma Marcia for sharing in our Halloween joy! See this image larger.

He dove right in and got as much as we’d let him. See this image larger.
*Ian, you’ve got a little something… on your… yeah right there.* See this image larger.

Flajama Time!
If you haven’t had your US RDA of Vitamin Cute, this ought to fill you right up…
I figure if we had Boojamas, we can have flannel pajamas be flajamas. See this image larger.
One more monkey jumpin’ on the bed! See this image larger.
One of the few situations where complete joy seems to be the result, every time is when Ian gets to jump on the bed. See this image larger.
BOING. See this image larger.
BOING. See this image larger.
Comfy rest. See this image larger.

Hey how tall are you? See this image larger.
And then a night-night book, and then to bed. See this image larger.

How well do his hat and mittens match his outfit? See this image larger.

Home at last and starting to warm up, Ian tried another look. See this image larger.
And yet another! See this image larger.
And that was that! Thanks again to Grampa Dave and Grandma Marcia for sharing in our Halloween joy! See this image larger.
