Good Luck Granny
We all had a blast with Grandma Sue in town, and we had a few more days together since last entry. She flew home, had some tests and a successful surgery since then; so perhaps the title of the blog entry is a little late. At any rate, we’re just happy to hear Gm Sue is safely at home with no problems!
One funny story to tell, and then some pics. I decided to run a funny test on Ian to see what he had learned of late. I asked him to please bring me something… anything… that was yellow. I was sure to tell him that he could bring me his yellow ball, for instance. He walked away from me, around Gm Sue, and back toward the bookshelf. He proceeded to pull a pink book off of the shelf. He handed me the book, and sat on my lap. Gm Sue immediately noticed the yellow flower on the cover, but the truth revealed itself moments later. The book was called “Colors.” He opened it to the first page, and pointed. The book says, clearly “Yellow.” it shows yellow cheese and a duckling. At first I figured he was a genius, but later tests seem to reveal that his sense of awareness about color may be limited to that book for now. Ask him to bring you something purple, and I think he might get that same book, for example. Of course, at the rate he’s learning now, that may no longer be true!
The shirt says “When Mommy says NO… call 1-800-GRANDMA” Cute! See this image larger.
Ian wore the cat out again… here he takes what appears to be a very deep cat nap. See this image larger.
Gm Sue and Ian dance to the music of an episode of Pocoyo. He waves goodbye at the end of an episode when Pocoyo does the same. See this image larger.
Ian explains to Gm Sue about his potential future as a jockey. See this image larger.
