Nina’s Caregiver: “Nina had a good day today. For art she used paint dabbers to color coffee filters. She did great She got a little pushy before lunch.”

Ian asks while dancing: “Is anybody ready to see my magic show?”
Daddy: “Will there be dancing?”
Ian: “Yes, that’s the first of it!”

Ian wakes up from nap:
“I love you, Daddy.”

Mommy and Daddy propose a new way of doing videos and books at night: Namely rather than starting out with three and LOSING them for bad behavior. Starting out with zero and EARNING as many as good behavior allows. Ian met this idea with tears and rebellion: “That’s the most not nice idea EVER!”

Ian gets dear old dad a new box of tissues. Closes door and window for Daddy.

Nina makes a deal with Daddy, who just suggested bedtime: “I play for two minutes in sunwoom.”

Nina’s Caregiver: “Nina had a good day today! For art she glued feathers on to a toucan! She did a great job! She kept getting mad because they kept sticking to her hands! After art we went out on the playground.”

Nina helps Daddy put together a game about falling through some ice. The game has 24 blocks of ice and a bear that stands on top of them. Nina hands Daddy a block, asks: “Need another one?”

Ian’s Caregiver: “Ian really enjoyed his PJ Day! He ate lots of popcorn and cheered Balto on in the end. Fun day!”

Nina’s Caregiver: “Nina had a lot of fun not he playground this morning with all her friends. When we came inside we got out our ball and rolled it around between all the kids – Nina ha slots of turns catching the ball. She was a very popular choice when her friends were picking someone to roll to. She ate a great lunch and fell asleep FAST at nap time. We must have worn her out.”

Nina’s Caregiver: “She played in the sandbox and then picked some ‘flowers’ or weeds. Nina said ‘My flowers are so pretty.'”

Daddy’s ad lib from a goodnight book: “Are daddy’s cookies yummy or yucky?”
Nina’s response: “Yummy! I had one wif dinner!”

Ian’s Caregiver, Accident Report:“Ian was trying to crouch down while playing hide and seek. When he scraped his right knee on the wood chips.”

Nina’s Caregiver: “Nina had a great day today. I sat her on the potty once, and she cried til I took her off. She didn’t want to sit after that…” (I love that they sometimes start off with “Nina had a great day” and then proceed to tell us about her pretty crappy sounding day.)
