Can you believe Ian is already three months old? I think we’ll keep him! The last many weeks have been spent mostly trying to catch up on work, so we have a lot of time to catch up on here at Ian’s blog. What better way than through pictures? Not all of the pictures here are high resolution, so only some of these have a “print version.”
Grandma Sue agrees that Ian is growing like a weed. She says that his mini-smiles helped her strength before and after the surgery, but it may also have been from picking up and putting down that big ol’ baby.
A nice image snapped by Grandma Sue during her stay…
Days later Grandma Marcia and Grandpa Dave made the trip to Grand Rapids for Easter, where Grandma Marcia kindly made an excellent meal. Like at every holiday function, Ian hit the bottle pretty hard. (print version)
Grandpa Dave risks his clean shirt in exchange for a belch during the Easter trip. (print version)
Grandpa Dave snapped this picture, and it came out great. What do you think bunny? “Murmfh.” (print version)
“Mama, I need more props, please!” I love how Ian’s mouth exactly mirrors Mama’s in this one. (print version)
Grandma Marcia pulled off this great shot of me (Papa) feeding him. (print version)
Right around that same date we took some new shots so that we could hang a few pictures in the bathroom. I used the regular flash on this image, which I hated doing, but look at the results! One of Ian’s mini-smiles! (print version)
This is the face of a boy who just made the bathwater a little bit warmer… (print version)
Not all of Ian’s fans know that he’s into “the Metal,” but word is getting out now. (print version)
He’s grasping and holding on to things these days. He looks like he’s riding the subway, doesn’t he? A very scary subway! (print version)
He isn’t slipping here, he woke up in the fetal position and stayed that way… had to get a quick shot of that! (print version)
Mr. Brandon (Papa’s close buddy) loaned his nice flash to me for a few images. I was able to bounce the light off of the ceiling for these shots, which started out like this… (print version)
…quickly led to shots like this… “Ello, Gov’nah, top o’ the mornin to ya.” (print version)
And when I finally got the flash angled properly so that it wasn’t blasting in his poor little eyeballs; I got these two. Needless to say Papa needs to start using that kind of flash… (print version)
Funny story about this chair, we bought it for the cat years ago and he pretty much rejected it; however within a few hours of this picture being taken Seth decided that he missed it and jealously reclaimed it by sleeping in it for a bit. (print version)
